Local Enterprise Partnerships
In England, local enterprise partnerships (LEPs) are voluntary partnerships between local authorities and businesses set up in 2011 by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills to help determine local economic priorities and lead economic growth and job creation within the local area.
Part of UK Research and Innovation, a non-departmental public body funded by a grant-in-aid from the UK government. Innovate UK connects businesses to the partners, customers and investors that can help them turn ideas into commercially successful products, services and business growth. Innovate UK fund business and research collaborations to accelerate innovation and drive business investment into research and development. Support is available to businesses across all economic sectors, value chains and UK regions.
UK research and Innovation (UKRI)
UK Research and Innovation works in partnership with universities, research organisations, businesses, charities, and government to create the best possible environment for research and innovation. Operating across the whole of the UK with a combined budget of more than £7 billion, UKRI brings together the seven Research Councils, Innovate UK and Research England.
National Voices is the coalition of charities that stands for people being in control of their health and care. They support national policy and system design, support the vital role that the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector plays in health and care, and support the adoption and spread of person-centred approaches.
Bio Industry Association
The BioIndustry Association (BIA) is the trade association for innovative life sciences in the UK. Their goal is to secure the UK's position as a global hub and as the best location for innovative research and commercialization. Members include; Start-ups, biotechnology and innovative life science companies, Pharmaceutical and technological companies, Universities, research centres, tech transfer offices, incubators and accelerators, A wide range of life science service providers: investors, lawyers, IP consultants, IR agencies.

Association of Medical Research Charities
The Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC) is the UK’s national membership organisation for health and medical research charities. The principle activity of the association is the charitable advancement of medical and health research in the UK.
Association of British HealthTech Industries
ABHI supports the HealthTech community to provide products and services that help people live healthier lives. Members include leading multinationals through to small and medium sized enterprises. ABHI represent the HealthTech industry to key stakeholders, such as governments, healthcare systems and regulators.
Association of British Pharmaceutical Industries
The Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) represents innovative research-based biopharmaceutical companies, large, medium and small. ABPI represent companies who supply more than 80 per cent of the value of all branded medicines used by the NHS and who are researching and developing the majority of the current medicines pipeline. The ABPI is recognised by government as the industry body negotiating on behalf of the branded pharmaceutical industry for statutory consultation requirements including the pricing scheme for medicines in the UK.
Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency
The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency regulates medicines, medical devices and blood components for transfusion in the UK. Recognised globally as an authority in its field, the agency plays a leading role in protecting and improving public health and supports innovation through scientific research and development.
National Institute for Health and Care Excellence
The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) provides national guidance and advice to improve health and social care.
Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS)
Building an economy that works for everyone, so that there are great places in every part of the UK for people to work and for businesses to invest, innovate and grow. BEIS is a ministerial department, supported by 41 agencies and public bodies.
